Exciting news for Pokémon fans: a stunning collection of 151 Pokémon figurines, previously exclusive to China, is set to hit Japan on March 13. Pokémon 151 is celebrated as one of the most beloved TCG series, adored for its classic artwork that captures the nostalgia of first-generation Pokémon enthusiasts.
In homage to these iconic designs, a limited series of 13 figures has been created to celebrate the captivating artwork from Pokémon 151. Initially only available in China, these figures will soon be accessible through Japan’s Pokémon Center stores and the official Pokémon Center website.
There’s hope that if these figures perform well at retail, we may see a wider release internationally, a dream that is certain to intrigue fans of Pokémon card collecting.
Each figure pack includes a visually stunning 3D figure alongside the corresponding Pokémon 151 card, enhancing both play and collection value.
Prized at 1,800 yen (approximately $11.41), collectors can look forward to 13 different figures housed in blind boxes, recreating the thrill of opening Pokémon TCG booster packs.
Among the featured Pokémon are Ivysaur, Arcanine, Machoke, Seal, Grimer, Gengar, Electrode, Exeggutor, Cubone, Chansey, Porygon, Dratini, and the ultra-rare Machoke variant.
As an avid fan of Pokémon 151, I can hardly wait to add these magnificent figures to my collection. Although there’s been no official word from The Pokémon Company regarding a Western release, I dream of displaying them proudly on my desk.
