Get ready for an exciting collectible experience with the First Partner Illustration Collection – Series 1 box, featuring a vibrant selection of nostalgic Pokémon cards. While it includes just one pack of Phantasmal Flames and one of Mega Evolutions, the real treasure lies in the three exclusive Illustration Rares included. If you’re as eager as I am to snag these, keep reading for store recommendations and release timing!

Resisting the nostalgia of the Pokémon TCG’s 30th Anniversary is futile! With a special celebratory Pokémon set coming later this year, anticipation is high, but other anniversary surprises are already emerging.

Starting with February’s Pokémon Day collection, we’re now treated to the Pokémon First Partner Illustration Collections: charming little boxes themed around the beloved starter Pokémon from the video games. The first series launches this Friday, March 20, 2026.

Each Series 1 First Partner pack boasts three new Illustration Rares from a selection of nine, including the Kanto, Sinnoh, and Alola starters. It’s a nostalgia bonanza with vibrant artwork featuring iconic partner Pokémon alongside memorable locations and items from each region.

Your fondness for this nostalgic collection likely depends on how much these pocket monsters resonate with your childhood memories. Regardless, the thrill of collecting is alive and well! Each pack contains three cards out of nine, sparking the hunt to complete a full mini-set. With future series also on the horizon, your adventure could last for months—so you’ll want to know where to grab the first collection.

The Pokémon First Partner Collection Series 1 is priced at $14.99 / £14.99. However, prepare for rapid sellouts and increasing prices in the secondary market. To find it for retail price, check out TCGPlayer regularly for any lower listings. Additionally, keep an eye on these retailers for stock alerts:

  • TCGPlayer
  • Target
  • Walmart

Don’t forget to join the Wargamer Discord for instant notifications about Pokémon TCG products at competitive prices or any upcoming retail listings. Connect with fellow collectors, show off your latest finds, or discuss the thrill of the hunt!
