Pokemon Trading Card Game enthusiasts have exciting news! A new set titled Legends of the Lost Realm is on its way, featuring beloved characters from the Pokemon universe for the first time. This set follows the recently launched Shining Horizons expansion and is set to hit local game stores on May 8, 2026, for prerelease, with a general release scheduled for May 15.
“Bringing fan-favorite characters and stories into the world of the Pokemon TCG is incredibly exciting,” said Jane Doe, Head of Trading Card Games at The Pokemon Company. “Players can revisit iconic moments, engage in thrilling battles, and create decks filled with their cherished Pokemon. Players can expect several unique features in the Legends of the Lost Realm set:
- Collectible full-art cards, referred to as Legendary cards, showcasing stunning artwork inspired by the game’s lore.
- Art Nouveau-style illustrations, named Lore Nouveau, designed to encapsulate the essence of uncovering new adventures in the world of Pokemon.
- Exclusive Iconics cards featuring premium art and foil finishes, including favorites like Pikachu – Lightning Spirit and Charizard – Flame Guardian.

The excitement continues beyond the Legends of the Lost Realm set, with Battle of Legends scheduled for prerelease on July 17, 2026, prior to its general release on July 24. New revelations from the Pokemon Sword and Shield series including glimmers of Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble will be unveiled as part of this set.
In the fall, players can look forward to Illumineer’s Quest: The Great Journey, which will build upon the ongoing narrative, allowing players to join forces against formidable challenges in cooperative gameplay. With various difficulty levels, this all-in-one package will include curated decks designed for collaborative strategies, set to launch in October 2026 with an MSRP of $59.99.
